Reggio Emilia Philosophy 


The Reggio Emilia approach originated in the town of Reggio Emilia in Northern Italy in the mid 20th century.  

Fundamental to the Reggio approach is the belief that children are curious, and capable creators of meaning.  Through play, observation,

and interaction children drive their own learning.  Teachers work together with the children as co-explorers, and learners.  They provide further opportunities for children to explore.
