Children may not attend Gan Yeladim with any of the following health issues:

- Cough

- Fever over 100.4

- Body rash (not in diaper area)

- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

- Chills

- Muscle pain

- Loss of sense of taste or smell

- Diarrhea or vomiting

- Sore throat

Consult your pediatrician if your child experiences any of the above symptoms. (Symptoms may indicate that your child be tested for COVID 19.) If your child is diagnosed with COVID 19, they must remain at home until: symptoms have completely abated, at least 10 days have passed since symptoms presented and you have obtained written permission from your child’s doctor.

During the COVID 19 pandemic, the State of Vermont requires that children be fever free for 72 hours, with no fever reducing medicine, before returning to their early childhood center. (Masking fever with medication like ibuprofen or acetaminophen will result in expulsion from Gan Yeladim.)

If a child or parent has had close contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID 19, they must self-quarantine and contact the Vermont Health Department for further guidance.

These policies are designed to keep all of the children, parents and teachers at Gan Yeladim safe and healthy. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
